Athens, Greece, Wednesday 30th September 2026: Phaedra den Hertog, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Awery Aviation Software (Awery), has won the IT category at the Women in Air Cargo Awards, presented during Aviation Connect in Athens, Greece.

The awards recognise women demonstrating leadership across the air cargo sector, with nominees judged on their contribution to efficiency, innovation, sustainability, and support for young professionals.

“My role puts me at the intersection of our customers and our technology, overseeing product onboarding and customer satisfaction, while ensuring that the Awery and CargoBooking software is used to its full potential for the benefit of the wider sector,” said Phaedra den Hertog.

“This recognition speaks to the value of our technology, the positive impact it has on air cargo supply chains, and, most importantly, to the dedication of our teams.”

Den Hertog leads Awery’s Customer Experience team, which works with airlines, General Sales and Service Agents (GSSAs), charter brokers, On-board Couriers (OBCs), forwarders, and logistics providers to implement and optimise digital solutions.

She is also responsible for providing customer insight to inform the continued development of Awery’s ERP and CargoBooking platforms.

“Awards like these are so important because they give greater visibility to the people, expertise, and perspectives shaping our industry,” added den Hertog.

“Having started my career in air cargo over 30 years ago, supervising ramp and warehouse operations at Schiphol, it is a real honour to now be recognised for my contribution to aviation software, digital adoption, and the air cargo industry at large.”

Aviation Connect is taking place in Athens, Greece, from 29th September to 1st October 2026.
